i am using virtual router on windows 8.1 and whenever i run it gives me this error "the wireless area network interface is powered down and doesn't support the requested operation"

ii) Turn WiFi on your system (otherwise you'll still get the error: the wireless area network interface is powered down and doesn't support the requested operation)
iii) Press Windows button+x+m and open administrator command prompt
iv) Type:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
